They're really cool plans but, at $200+ per square feet to build..... That’s just out of control! I've worked in the new construction field and I have family members that are builders and I know the going rate and not just for this area. It's just too much. I could have an architect come up with a similar plan - not prefab - and come out to less than $150 per sqft.
They lost me at the price.

We own a Deck Home, a passive solar, post and beam style house that was built in 1969. Empyrean Int'l bought Deck Homes a few years ago. I am trying to confirm whether Empyrean is still in business. I fear that they have folded as I can't find a working phone number for them any longer. If anyone knows for sure, I'd appreciate it. We need some replacement windows and they used to see parts to existing homeowners.
Sorry I didn't reply earlier. I have not looked for recent news, but their site still says they are in State Court Receivership.
